FULL-TIME HIGHWAY MAINTAINER POSITION TO BE FILLED:

The Bureau County Highway Department is seeking applications for a full-time Highway Maintainer.

Applicants must have CDL Drivers license, a High School Diploma or GED, and live within Bureau County.

Hours are typically 40 per week with overtime as required.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, June 16, 2023, and can be obtained at the Bureau County Highway Department, 595 Elm Place, Princeton IL.

About Us

The Bureau County Highway Department is responsible for implementing a cost-effective program of engineering, construction, and maintenance of 220 miles of county highways and 55 bridges. The Highway Department coordinates with other agencies such as The Illinois Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration to provide an efficient and safe movement of people and goods throughout the county.

These permits include overweight permit, general construction highway permit and many others.
