AFTERNOON CUSTODIAN
Hiawatha CUSD #426 is looking for a full-time District Administrative Assistant.
Seeking someone with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to assist the Superintendent and Director of Human Resources/Finance/Grants.
Must be proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite.

Hiawatha CUSD #426 has an opening for a full-time District Administrative Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma.
2. Two years job experience as a secretary; or graduation from a recognized school of secretarial skills and two years job experience.
3. A high degree of proficiency in typing and office practices.
4. Working knowledge of basic office procedures and operation of common office equipment and technology.
5. Demonstrated desire to help all children.
6. Friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.
7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB GOAL: To assist and relieve the Superintendent and Director of HR/Finance/Grants of paper work and other obstacles so that they may devote maximum attention to the central responsibilities of education and educational administration.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates and prepares various types of correspondence, reports, notices, and recommendations.
- Obtains, gathers, organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form.
- Maintains a filing system, as well as a set of locked confidential files, and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
- Receives and routes all incoming communication.
- Shares pertinent district information across various platforms.
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
- Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position.
- Maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews.
- Prepares all reports as required by the superintendent.
- Assumes responsibility for operating the office in a businesslike and professional manner.
- Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance.
- Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor when dealing with school personnel and the public as a school leader.
