Superintendent of Kankakee River Metropolitan Agency (KRMA)

POSITION PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is responsible for overseeing the wastewater facility operations including Reporting facility progress monthly to the KRMA Board of Directors. Communication with the public and the surrounding neighbors and the KRMA Municipalities as needed.

The applicant must have the ability to manage the entire operations division, as necessary; Assist in developing administration operating and capital budgets, have knowledge of current Federal and State environmental quality standards and legislation, have the ability to develop management policies and procedures, have the ability to present capital improvement planning processes, goals and objectives related to the facility's long term improvement plan.

The applicant will be responsible for presenting the monthly operating report to the KRMA Board of Directors, oversee wastewater facility financial, communication with and signing of all IEPA and USEPA reporting documents, development of wastewater facility policies, utilizing the central computer monitoring system, and administering disciplinary action for all staff.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree or equivalent of education, experience, knowledge, and abilities sufficient to satisfactorily perform the job duties.
• Eight (8) years' experience, or equivalent, of management of a 10MGD or higher wastewater facility.
• One (1) year experience of regulatory reporting to the State of Illinois.
• Class 1 license by the State of Illinois.
• All qualifications will be reviewed at the discretion of KRMA.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Salary range $135,000.00 to $150,000.00
• Health and dental insurance provided
• Retirement plan is a 401(k)
