Job Description

The Assistant Director of the NA Concentration shall work under the leadership of the NA Director and assume responsibilities, as designated, for the management of NA as it contributes to the attainment of the mission of the University and Nursing. The Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia and/or Director of Nurse Anesthesia will teach all Nurse Anesthesia specific courses. The Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia is a Full-time Faculty Position.

Required Qualifications

Doctoral degree required; *professional preparation/credentials by a recognized credentialing body in NA specialty required; and *evidence of effective teaching and scholarly activities.

coordinate clinical facilities for student learning experiences/practicum, including obtaining letters of agreement with agencies, for NA as designated;

assist the NA Director with faculty/staff evaluations;

Job Duty

assist with registration/orientation for NA students;

Job Duty

notify NA Director of all Unusual Occurrence Reports;

Job Duty

assist with compliance of ADA, HIPPA, and FERPA for NA;

Job Duty

assist with development of, and/or changes to the catalog, student handbook, and all related publications;

Job Duty

provide budget recommendations to the NA Director;

Job Duty

teaching and scholarly responsibilities; and

Job Duty

other duties as assigned.
