Seasonal Employment

The United City of Yorkville is accepting applications for seasonal workers within the Parks and Recreation Department.

The successful applicants will perform daily and weekly tasks in the areas of park and playground maintenance, turf care, athletic field maintenance, seasonal park beautification, painting, and general maintenance.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and possess a valid Driver's license. Basic knowledge of lawn care, landscaping horticulture, plant and tree identification, ball field maintenance and general repairs a plus.

This position is expected to work outdoors, assist in the operation of park maintenance equipment and machinery and perform physical and/or strenuous work up to 40 hours per week. Must speak fluent English and successfully complete a background check. Weekend and evening hours may be required.
