Field Interviewer

Do you have experience as a canvasser? Are you comfortable going door-to-door? The University of Michigan is looking for candidates in your area to work on the project:  Health and Retirement Study (HRS).

For more than 20 years, the HRS has been a leading source for information on the health and economic circumstances of adults over age 50 in the United States.  Field Interviewers will travel to a variety of neighborhoods to screen households for eligibility and complete an in-person interview.

• Project Schedule: April 2023 through March 2024
• Hourly wage: $TBD – according to your location
• $700 in bonuses ($400 after your first production interview and $300 after three months of successful production work)
• Mileage reimbursement for all business travel

Ideal candidates for this Field Interviewer position will:

• Be available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
• Be able to work weekdays, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Be fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak)
• Attend training in Ypsilanti, Michigan at the end of April 2023
• Paid training, both online and in-person
• Coaching and mentoring to help you flourish
