The Village of Forreston is seeking a professional to fulfil the requirements of Maintenance Worker. Preferred applicants would be residents of the Village of Forreston and seeking an active role in the Village's Public Works Department.

Essential Job Functions:

This position performs a variety of public maintenance activities including snow plowing, salt spreading, street repairs, brush pick up, tree trimming, and water main/service line repairs.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Minimum Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform heavy manual labor, operate a backhoe and end loader, and tolerate ouside weather conditions.
• The applicant must possess or secure a CDL Class B Driver's License with air brake endorsement within six months of hire.
• Prior experience in utility construction or Public Works is preferred.
• This position requires an ability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal work hours (7:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.). Emergency response within thirty minutes is required.
